Week 3 Activity 5

I have learned that you have to think before posting an image. One thing to think about is where that image came from. If the image was from google images or from someone’s website, someone else has the rights to that image and it can not be posted on one’s blog or website without their approval. Unless you took that photo, always get permission from the owner of the picture. If you don’t have permission, that is copyright and copyright leads to much more serious problems. Also, do not have the picture that is being posted on the internet to include any personal information of the person in the image. This could lead to identity theft wish also causes much more serious and complicated problems that nobody wants to deal with. I learned a lot about posting images on my blog.

My native language is English. The picture I chose is a picture I took of a place called Point Lobos in Monterey County. While my cousins, family, and I were visiting my Grandma at her beach house in Monterey, we decided to go on a hike. We found Point Lobos and thought it would be perfect for a hike. It was beautiful there. There were tons of seals and otters lurking around in the water and in the forrest part of Point Lobos, there were a lot of deer. The beautiful blue ocean looked amazing as the sunlight reflected off the surface of the water. The hike at Point Lobos was definitely the highlight of my visit to Monterey.

Week 4 Activity 1

For my blog I used http://wilstar.com/holidays/hallown.htm and http://portervillesoccer.com/?p=1431 to find pictures to decorate my blog for Halloween. I chose these pictures because they are appealing to the eye and spooky. These pictures both portray symbolism for Halloween such as the pumpkin and the haunted house. I believe these two images are perfect to decorate my blog in the Halloween spirit.

Week 4 Activity 3

Every year, a day before Halloween, my brother and I start off the festivity for Halloween by carving some pumpkins. We have both never been good at carving pumpkins, so both pumpkins end up with the cliche triangle nose and square eyes. On Halloween day, I go trick or treating with my friends in either their neighborhood or a neighborhood of their choosing. We then trick or treat until we don’t want to anymore and when we get tired of trick or treating, we just hang out. Every year, since kindergarten, I have always ended off my Halloween by going to my friend Aidan’s Halloween party. We either watch scary movies there or just talk and eat candy. Thats how I spend my Halloween every year.
